An easy / moderate weekend of 4wdriving out in old gold mining country - with a campsite right on the river .
We do a lot of river crossings on this trip and normally encourage members to try out their latest camp oven

March - - - 21st to the 24th - - - "Easter in the High Country" - - 'Three Mile Dam ' - - Base Camp - NSW
Another fantastic trip down in the 'High Country' with new tracks to explore up to the fire towers around the
highest village in the Australian landscape . Trout fishing is available and fly fishing instruction will be part of
this trip for those that want to learn the art - - Camper trailers will be ok - - - Grade (M) - - Leader - - Kev.
April - - - 5th / 6th - - " Fly Fishing Instruction Weekend " - - 'Duckmaloi River' - Oberon District - NSW
A relaxing trip to one of our favourite campsites for anyone that wants to learn how to cast a fly with a fly rod .
Even if your not interested in fly fishing - it's still a great relaxing weekend - - Grade (M) - - Leader - - Kev .
April - - - 25th to the 27th - - - " Gungarlin River Escape " - - ' Pristene High Country Valley " - - - NSW .
We are now 'locking in' this trip on the calendar as this is just one of the best locations in the High Country
with fantastic fishing and a totally unique landscape . It doesn't get much better than this when it comes to
camping in the High Country - - Camper trailers ok with a good towing vehicle - Grade (M) - Leader - Kev .
June - - - 7th / 8th / 9th - - - " Burraga Dam Winter Escape" - - ' Oberon / Black Springs District ' - NSW .
This is a great trip to a freshwater Dam - South West of Oberon with fishing and relaxing around a campfire
as the main items on the agenda - - Some members of the Australia 4wd Forum will be attending as well .

September - - - 6th / 7th - - - " Myall Lakes National Park " - - ' Central Coast District ' - - - - - - - - NSW .
We do this trip at least once annualy as it's such a great relaxing weekend away from the big smoke etc .
A very relaxing weekend on the lake shores with easy access to the water - bring the Kayak and the fishing
gear or just your favourite book and sense of humour . Bring some firewood - - Grade (E) - - - Leader - Kev .
October - - 4th / 5th / 6th - - " South East Forests National Park " - 'Cooma / Bemboka District' - - NSW
This is a great trip through lush ferny forest tracks with fantastic natural bush camp sites along the way .
We will meet early in Cooma and head out to the famous Bemboka Pie shop for lunch then travel through the
South Coast Hinterland to some historic and interesting locations - - Grade (M) - - Leader - - Kev .
November - - - 15th / 16th - - - " Ophir Gold Fields " - - 'Bathurst / Orange District' - - - - - - - - - - - - NSW .
This trip is a walk back through time with one of the first gold fever strikes in NSW - - - We have several
campsite choices in the area but our favourites are Summer Hill Creek or Mt Canobolas - - We do a tour of
the gold mine that donated some gold to the 2000 Olympics in Australia - and we 4wd accross rivers and up
some steep hill climbs to check out some of the old gold diggings in the area - Grade (M) - Leader - Kev .
December 27th 2008 - to - January 10th 2009 - - - " Murrumbidgee River Escape " - - - - - - - - NSW .
This is a ' two week ' trip that explores the Murrumbidgee River from Gundagai to Narrandera with many
new opportunities for exploration along the way . The trip is suitable for camper trailers and for those that
want to bring a 'small' tinny or kayak along . We will be exploring the Gundagai - Wantabadgery - Oura - Wagga
Wagga - Currawarna - Galore - Narrandera - Regions along the way - - with great campsites and camp cooking .
Plenty of campsites along the way - - right on the river - - Grade (M) - - Leader - Kev .
